1979 NEW WAVE: A WAVE OF FRESHNESS

Inspired by the musical movement of the same name with electronic pop-rock sounds, New Wave crossed the Channel and arrived in France starting in the late 70s. On December 18, 1979, Les Bains Douches, a famous Parisian nightclub that would host numerous celebrities and anonymous guests from 1978 to 2010, invited Joy Division on stage for the only French date of their European tour. This event would become a landmark in the history of English rock. With 1979 New Wave, Dominique Ropion offers an unexpected melody of spearmint and peppermint that crashes onto a dark and earthy iris, resonating with its metallic facets. EAU SAUVAGE BY DIOR: RETRO CHARM

"Make me a scent. Neither a perfume nor a cologne." With these instructions from Christian Dior, Edmond Roudnitska began the project of Dior's first men's fragrance, which would become Eau Sauvage in 1966. A timeless composition that opens with a burst of sparkling and aromatic notes where lemon and petitgrain meet rosemary and basil. The next part is a bit softer, with notes of jasmine, rose, iris, and carnation, an unusual floral heart for a men's fragrance at the time. 2018 ROXO TONIC BY LES BAINS GUERBOIS: A GIN AND TONIC WITH A TWIST

In 2018, the Roxo bar-restaurant was inaugurated within Les Bains Paris (a 5-star hotel located in the heart of Paris). A warm place that pays homage to the history of 7, rue du Bourg l’Abbé while infusing it with a good dose of modernity. It is the welcoming witness to encounters, great conversations, bursts of laughter, and sometimes fleeting kisses. To capture the ambiance of this radiant sanctuary, perfumer Fanny Bal revisits the famous Gin and Tonic in Eau de Parfum. A sparkling and effervescent bergamot responds to the bitter and earthy facets of gentian and vetiver, finally wrapping itself in a cloud of musk. Nothing beats a 2018 Roxo Tonic served well chilled. EAU D’ORANGE VERTE BY HERMÈS: THE TIMELESS CLASSIC

For our selection of summer 2024 fragrances, we decided to revisit our classics and delve into the Hermès Colognes, particularly the one where it all began: L’Eau d’Orange Verte. Initially known as Eau de Cologne Hermès when it was released in 1979, this aromatic citrus fragrance with timeless elegance offers a refreshing splash where the traditional structure of cologne is accompanied by a mint note and fruity notes with a tangy sweetness. A now classic fragrance that is a pleasure to rediscover. In 2004, Jean-Claude Ellena, then Hermès' in-house perfumer, revisited L’Eau d’Orange Verte, creating the Concentré d’Orange Verte with a more pronounced base

2013 RÉSIDENCE D’ARTISTES BY LES BAINS GUERBOIS: PURE TENDERNESS

In 2013, two years before the opening of the 5-star hotel Les Bains Paris, 7 rue du Bourg l’Abbé was buzzing with activity. Jean-Pierre Marois, the owner, invited around fifty renowned urban artists to hold a gigantic artist residency there. For 4 months, Invader, Stew, Psy, Futura, and other artists put their talents to work, creating ephemeral works that engaged with the space and with each other. 2013 Résidence d’Artistes draws its inspiration from artistic creativity and the inexhaustible richness of colors and lights. With 2013 Résidence d’Artistes, exoticism is subtly expressed with a juicy mandarin wrapped in a velvety-touch peach. A delicately powdered floral heart transitions to sandalwood imbued with white musks, letting itself be lulled by the grenadine gradients of a summer sunset.

GUCCI FLORA GORGEOUS JASMINE BY GUCCI: EXOTIC SENSUALITY

An enchanting fragrance created by Alberto Morillas that subtly blends two varieties of jasmine, intensified by intoxicating accords of gardenia and Damask rose. The sparkling freshness of mandarin and bergamot, combined with a touch of black pepper, awakens the senses with vivacity. Finally, creamy notes of sandalwood, patchouli, and benzoin offer a sensual warmth to further brighten your sunny days.

FLORABLOOM BY GUERLAIN: A SOLAR FLORAL

Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria collection needs no introduction, housing some of the brand’s biggest successes in recent years, including Pamplelune and Mandarine Basilic. In 2024, Guerlain launches Florabloom, created by in-house perfumer Delphine Jelk. Florabloom features a solar tuberose with a sparkling start of lemon, bergamot, and mango. The tuberose blooms on creamy notes of coconut, sandalwood, and musk, ensuring an exotic escape.
